Not sure what S %26amp; D means - but this has been pushed in recent years in France -- the country mandated a 35 hour work week in an effort to cut unemployment. The newly elected President has vowed to change this.

I don%26#039;t understand the logic of how salaries might go up (maybe the clue is in the S%26amp;D). I believe the idea was to cut unemployment and improve quality of life by giving people more time away from work.
