Blacks have a very high unemployment rate today, in the slave era they didnt. They werent beat all that hard, it doesn%26#039;t make good business sense. As an analogy I dont break my tools that make me money, i take care of them and nurture them so I don%26#039;t have to buy new ones. Were blacks better off as slaves? I think that blacks probably were better off as slaves from an economic standpoint, but as a human being, they were miserable. I would much rather have to deal with the day to day problems most blacks have to deal with than having my basic human rights questioned on a daily basis. Why don%26#039;t homeless people go to shelters? Because there, even though they get a meal and a bed, they know they%26#039;re homeless. My point is that as a slave, these people had a place to live, food, clothing, and had their needs taken care of, but they had a master.
