All this news about a national flat tax would close the IRS, wouldn't that affect our unemploym

While almost everyone loves the idea that something will %26quot;close the IRS%26quot;, it just won%26#039;t happen as long as there is some tax system in place.

Go with a simple 10% flat tax - someone still needs to process the returns.

Go with the fair tax, the national sales tax - Someone needs to collect the taxes from all the businesses and someone needs to process the pre-bate checks.

That someone will be the IRS.

Yeah, but they are all tax men so who really cares.

No. I would explain why, but the question itself gives you away as one who doesn%26#039;t understand basic economics and is therefore not worth the effort.|||Oh well. they will just have to find something else to do.|||Heaven forbid that we would cause unemployment in government. Like in the private sector, they would find other employment. A flat tax on all income with a deduction per person--period. How fairer could it be. No special deduction for anything. With the elimination of all special deductions everybody would pay the same percentage of taxes on their income. And think how easy it would be to file!!!!
